Chelsea Rissner, LCSW, is a School Social Worker and Psychotherapist in private practice in New York. She is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work and engages in ongoing training at The Gestalt Institute for Psychotherapy and Training.
Best Practices in Working with Schools: A Collaborative Approach, will help clinicians identify ways in which working with schools and larger educational systems can help in modeling collaborative practice and support in clinical practice with children, while simultaneously providing much needed access to services and advocacy.
This course is eligible for 2 continuing education credits.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
- List two types of school-based educational, social and clinical services available to children, specifically those who have been in the foster care system.
- Apply two best practices for engaging school staff, including social workers, counselors and administration while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
