Tabitha Azor is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience in helping clients heal from trauma through a compassionate, trauma-informed approach. Specializing in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Tabitha integrates emotional processing and experiential techniques into her work to foster deep, transformative healing. As a dedicated mother of two, she balances her love for crafting with her passion for healing and teaching, embodying the very life she encourages her clients to live. Tabitha’s approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are, serving as a compassionate guide on their journeys toward growth and recovery. She believes in walking the path of healing herself, allowing her to authentically model secure attachment and create a safe space for her clients to flourish.
This course will help the participant understand how to undo their clientʼs aloneness in the therapy room using the self of the therapist. Participants will learn how to properly show up with the client to guide them from suffering into flourishing using the interventions and techniques of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). This course will include an experiential part where you will practice and experience the techniques you are taught.
This course is eligible for 2 continuing education credits.
This course is suitable for Psychologists, LMHCs, MFTs, Social Workers, LPCs, and Counselors.
Introductory
11:00-11:05am - Introduction/Overview
11:05-11:10am - Meditation
11:10-11:30am - Overview of AEDP
11:30am-12:15pm - Interventions to move the client from suffering to flourishing using the self of the Therapist
12:15-12:45pm - Experiential Activity
12:45-1:00pm - Group processing and Q&A
At the end of the workshop, the participant will be able to:
- Apply 3-4 Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) techniques in their therapeutic work.
- Utilize 2-3 AEDP interventions to guide clients from suffering to emotional flourishing.
